WoW Shaman Enhancement
The enhancement Shaman had already received one of his biggest changes with Burning Crusade: in earlier World of Warcraft times he was famous for his (often very lucky) windfury hits with his two-handed weapon. This was changed with Burning Crusade where Enhancement Shamans were changed to be a dual-wielding class. Wrath of the Lich King followed this path, boosting the dual wield build even more while allowing the Enhancement Shaman to cast some of his typical class spells while fighting.
Responsible for this is the new talent Maelstrom Weapon. This talent has the chance of buffing the Shaman with a stacking buff that reduces the casttime of healing and lightning spells whenever he hits with a melee weapon, making the spell instant cast if the buff is completely stacked. This improves the normal melee rotation by adding these spells into it. As these spells would be rather lackluster in melee gear the Shaman gets a talent converting attackpower into spellpower.
The new ultimate talent in the Enhancement tree is an old familiar: Feral spirit summons two spirit wolves for 45 seconds that will fight alongside him, an ability of the Warcraft III Shaman hero. The damage these wolves deal will heal the Shaman, making him able to not only replenish his mana with Shamanistic Rage but also regain lost health with Feral spirit. While the Windfury Totem has been changed the Enhancement Shaman has lost nothing of his buffing capabilities and is a welcome addition to any raid group. Especially Unleashed Rage, which increases the raids attackpower by 10%, is an almost necessary buff.
